Better Branches Technology Background
As our name suggests our purpose is to help credit unions manage and improve the appointment handling, queuing and subsequent service and sales that takes place in the evolving branch, while equipping management to effectively manage branch labor cost.
It all started in the summer of 2003, when SAFE, a 1.2 billion dollar credit union in North Highlands, California teamed with The Poulton Consulting Group and Performance System International to conceptualize, design and build a system for perfecting the member's account opening experience. It was called The New Account Opening Process (NAOP).
At that time, Henry Wirz, President and CEO of SAFE, stated “If credit unions are to prosper and grow they must stop competing on price and improve member service”. For SAFE that meant re-thinking how they served the member. That's why Better Branches Technology was founded - a desire to significantly improve member service at SAFE CU and to help other credit unions do the same.
Today, our focus is the same as it was in 2003; providing innovative, affordable software solutions that help credit unions deliver the highest standard of service. Our products have continued to grow and adapt to the changing needs of our market, supporting a wide client base that ranges from 10,000 to 650,000 members.
Our Better Lobby software solution includes: New Accounts Queue, Appointment Handling, Mobile Appointment Tool, Self Check-in Kiosk, Teller Management, Staff Scheduler & Optimizer, and Mobile Wait-time Indicator.
